Newsletter 6th January 2023

6th January 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

Happy New year and welcome back everyone. Staff were back on Tuesday, preparing classrooms and taking part in training: but the best day was Wednesday, welcoming back your children.

Even in this short week for pupils I have given out certificates for art, reading and play skills. It seems the break did us all some good.

Due to the resignation of Kayleigh Price, we have seconded Grace Norman, Gemma Moore and Andrew Maker to positions as part-time Assistant Heads. We will be recruiting for a permanent replacement this term.

Online Safety

Virtual reality (VR) headsets have become popular over recent years and you may have bought one as a gift for your child this Christmas. Please read the NSPCC Online Safety information about understanding the risks and advice to help children use headsets safely.

Devon County’s Early Help team are running free ‘Autism and Us’ themed workshops for parents and carers during Spring 2023. They will provide support for those with primary and secondary children who are either on the autism waiting list or who have received a diagnosis of autism.

Blue Tokens for Mill Water

Don’t forget to pop your Tesco blue tokens in the box for Mill Water! The stores in Exmouth and Budleigh are supporting us with this scheme until January 2023. Money raised will go towards the school’s ongoing playground transformation project. Thank you and spread the word. Every little helps!
