5th June 2026

Welcome

We hope you enjoyed the half-term break, and the incredible weather we had! Staff were in school on Monday and Tuesday for two very busy training days, covering topics such as Sensory Processing, Attention Autism, Trauma Informed Practice, Phonics and Reading, Supporting Maths for Life, GDPR, and much more.

Suncream and Hats

Although the weather has cooled down this week, when the sun does come out it can be very strong - please remember to send in suncream (labelled with your child's name), hats, and water bottles with your child. Please could we ask you to also check that jumpers and coats are clearly labelled with your child's name - this really helps us re-unite them with their owners.

PTFA

Could you support our PTFA? We are in desperate need of volunteers to help it keep running. You might be a parent, carer, other family member, or someone who just wants to help support our school. You could help as little or as much as you like - although we do need to fill some key positions like Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary.

The PTFA helps us access some pots of money that we can't otherwise get to. If you think you might be able to help in any way, please email Amelia at school (fundraising@millwater.devon.sch.uk).

There is no commitment - at this stage we really just want to see who might be interested.

Mill Water 10km Run

A reminder that we will be hosting the Mill Water 10km race again this year, on Sunday 05 July.

The race takes runners around the beautiful lanes behind the school – for more details please visit lmevents.org.uk Mill Water 10km

We are still looking for volunteers who might be interested in being a race marshal. This would involve being at a set point on the course, and making sure the runners go the right way. For each marshal we can find, the race organisers will make a donation to Mill Water.

If you think you can help, please email Amelia - fundraising@millwater.devon.sch.uk

Outside Classroom / Hub

We are currently working on a booking system for the new space, and dealing with some minor snagging issues. The building will accessible for families no later than October 2026 - hopefully earlier. We will keep you updated.
