Creating New and Inclusive Opportunities for our Pupils to be More Physically Active

Mill Water School is celebrating a new partnership with the non-profit organisation Active Devon, which is dedicated to helping young people to be more physically active.

Active Devon has supported Mill Water in accessing a three-year programme of Government funding, enabling the school to purchase equipment and to create new opportunities for our pupils. This has included a new electric wheelchair bike, mini trampettes, a C-shaped swing, electronic cardio walls, inflatable peanut balls, playground equipment and dance classes.

Mill Water’s long-term vision is to be in a position to open its facilities to its families and the wider community outside of school hours. Active Devon is supporting this goal with this specific programme of Department of Education funding, called Open School Facilities.
