African Drumming
Pupils were treated to an African drumming session at the end of last half term, thanks to funding from the PTFA. They loved engaging in the rhythm during this great workshop.
Scarecrow Festival
Mill Water's student council voted to make a Super Mario for East Budleigh’s popular Scarecrow Festival. Pupils proudly installed him outside the village shop, with the help of festival committee member Angela Canning. They worked brilliantly together overseeing the creative design process. A special thank you to Mill Water sewing bee Lucy Wheeler who made our scarecrow’s wonderful outfit!
Stagecoach Visit
Students in Emily’s class visited the Stagecoach depot in Exeter on Monday. They looked around an empty, open-top bus and then had a spin around the block. They were then given the opportunity to sit in the driver's seat and honk the horn! This was organised by ROVIC’s rehabilitation officer for AW. It was great that the rest of the class could join as part of their travel training. They all said how much they enjoyed it and asked if they could do that every day!
Evidence for Learning
Reports for all classes, excluding Early Years, will be published via Evidence for Learning today, Friday 16th June. If you are unable to access Evidence for Learning you can request a paper copy from your child's class teacher.

Mill Water’s Fundraiser: The Bicton 10K!
Join in the fun on the morning of Sunday 2nd July and support Mill Water School. There are lots of ways you can help, whatever your capacity. We need marshals to help direct runners along the route, which starts and finishes at school. Perhaps you can donate something for the PTFA’s cake stall? Or you can support our team of Mill Water staff, who are taking on the 10k challenge, with their fundraising on their Justgiving page.
All the details can be found here.

Seeking a New Volunteer Governor
We are looking for a new volunteer Governor to join our Governing Board.
You don’t need to have any experience in education and people with no connection to the school are also invited to apply.
PTFA Meeting
Join Mill Water’s PTFA on Wednesday 21st June at 10.30am and hear about the fun things planned that raise money for pupils. If it is dry and nice we shall find a shady area outside. Bring a travel mug for a cuppa.
