13th March 2026

World Book Day

It was a joy to see all pupils participating in the day in their own unique ways, with many embracing the theme by dressing up as their favourite book characters.

Throughout the day, we organised a variety of engaging activities for our pupils. Each pupil had the opportunity to collect a token for our book vending machine, which was stocked with World Book Day books. A big thank you goes to the team at Tesco in Exmouth for helping us source these books, ensuring that every child had the chance to choose one.

The pupils also enjoyed a storytelling workshop with Paddleboat, sharing stories and book themed hunts throughout the day.

We are grateful for the continued support from our parents and guardians, which make events like this possible.

Planting trees in Haldon Forest

Peach and Silver class went to Haldon Forest and planted over 30 trees. They listened well to the instructions and were very proud of their work. They used a range of tools and worked together. They had a picnic lunch and a walk around Haldon before heading back.

Outside Classroom

Thank you again to parents for their patience with the parking restrictions outside of school currently. We’re especially grateful to the drivers and escorts, and to those parents who drop off and pick up their children. Progress continues on the new parking spaces outside school, and a new speed bump is being added. Unfortunately, the end date has been delayed yet again, due to consistently bad weather and we will of course keep everyone updated.

Seaton Satellite Project

Work is continuing to progress. Numbers are being finalised for 2026 and information will be shared with those families who may be transitioning to Seaton in September 2026.

Easter Raffle

We wanted to send a reminder about the launch of this year’s Easter Raffle. Once again want to thank Melissa, a Mill Water parent, for her incredible enthusiasm and generosity. Tickets are now available – Please see the poster below for more information. Deadline to purchase tickets is midnight on 26th March.

Accessibility Planning

We are in the process of updating the school’s Accessibility Plan, and are keen to hear your views. The plan focuses on improving access to the school building and to the curriculum. If you have any comments about either of these, or ideas about how we might improve, please contact the school – thank you.
