15th March 2024
Dear Parents and Carers,
As spring approaches, our school grounds are buzzing with activity as pupils dive into various academic and extracurricular endeavours. With the arrival of the season also comes the threat of illness, and our school is taking proactive measures to keep the sickness bug at bay. We're conducting extra cleaning sessions, focusing on commonly used items like toys, iPads, and other classroom materials. Please can I kindly ask you again to remain vigilant and keep your child at home if they have been sick/had diarrhoea or exhibit signs of a stomach ache. It's important to note that a fever is not a typical symptom of this bug, but any signs of discomfort should be taken seriously. By working together, we can ensure a healthy and productive spring season for all our pupils.
World Book Day
Ollie R has been learning about fiction and helped create a play with Laura M, which he directed, narrated and performed for World Book Day. Class 12 enjoyed the performance of 'Super Snack'. Ruan G starred as the main lead - a boy, who wanted to buy his 10th chocolate bar at the sweet shop, until Superhero 'Sarah Strawberry' appeared with her healthy alternative. Class 12 pupils also got to enjoy some 'super snack' strawberries after the play!
Student News
Liam has worked really well in his Drawing and Talking Sessions with Laura M. He wrote a beautiful handwritten letter and drew a picture of his favourite Arsenal player, Declan Rice. They sent it off to Arsenal's Training Ground and Liam was thrilled to receive a signed photograph of Declan and Team programme, this week through the post. Well done Liam!
