Dear Parents/Carers

Consultation to reduce Mill Water’s age range

Thank you to all parents and carers who joined our first consultation meeting, whether in person or online. Your engagement is invaluable, FAQs will soon be available on our website and the meeting recording will be available on request. We understand that this proposal to change the age range from 3–19 to 3–16 raises strong feelings, and we want to reassure you that every comment and question matters.

Proposed changes to Post-16 provision at Mill Water School and increase in places

Your views will help inform the decision-making process, so please continue to share your thoughts—either by emailing the school or by joining our consultation meetings. The next meeting will be held online on Wednesday 7th January at 6pm. DCC colleagues and Guy Chappell (CEO Special Partnership Trust) will also be in attendance.

Please complete this online form to let us know if you plan to attend. An invite will be sent the day before - please check your spam/junk folders for the Teams link before the meeting starts to avoid any technical issues. We encourage you to have your say and be part of this important conversation.

Cinema Trip

Silver and peach classes enjoyed an enrichment trip to Exmouth cinema on Thursday to see the new Smurfs film. All the children thoroughly enjoyed the film and were full of chatter about it on the way back to school!

All Things Bread

White class have been busy looking at all things Bread for our topic this term. We have practised preparing surfaces and hands for food preparation, commented on a range of sandwich fillings and made our own sandwiches and pittas. We have also been exploring the stories of 'The Little Red Hen' and 'Hooray for Bread'.

School Christmas Raffle

We are thrilled to announce the launch of this year’s Christmas school raffle! The draw will take place on Wednesday, 17th December, and all proceeds will go towards enriching resources and activities for our pupils at Mill Water. We greatly appreciate the generosity of our school community.
