Dear Parents/Carers

Exciting Developments at Mill Water!

You may have heard or seen that building works have begun for our brand-new classroom. While this has brought some challenges—particularly around transport—we’re gradually adjusting to our new normal. Your child might have mentioned the diggers, cranes, workmen, the big hole, and of course… the mud! This is a truly exciting project that will be a fantastic addition to the Mill Water site.

Thank you to those of you who responded to our recent questionnaire about community hubs, holiday clubs, and feelings of isolation. The new outdoor classroom will help address some of these concerns by being available for use during the holidays, giving families access to the Mill Water grounds.

Peach and Silver classes, along with our School Council, are especially engaged with the project and will be creating a photo diary to document the construction—so watch this space!

We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all parents who transport their children to school and for your continued patience during this time.

AAC Success in Purple Class

A pupil in Purple Class has been using her AAC device (talker) amazingly well since coming back in September. She is using it to make choices, chat with friends and adults in the class and communicating her wishes and needs.  She is starting to independently think to use it throughout the day, which is brilliant. We are very proud!

In celebration of AAC Awareness Month, some companies are offering 50% off AAC Apps between 14-24 October 2025.
