25th July 2025
Dear Parents/Carers
As we are at the end of the summer term, we want to take this opportunity to update you on the exciting events that have taken place at our school. It has been a vibrant term filled with enriching activities and memorable moments for our students and for your continued support and engagement throughout this term. Your thoughtful gifts, messages, and emails have been greatly appreciated by our staff.
A special thank you to all the parents/carers who joined us for the heart-warming Leavers Assembly. It was a touching event celebrating the achievements of our leaving students.
Wishing you all a fantastic summer holiday filled with joy and relaxation. Please note that pupils will return on Thursday 4th September, while our staff will be back on the 2nd to prepare for the new term.
Leavers 2025
Last week our leavers enjoyed their Mill Water prom and then we had a lovely afternoon yesterday, sending off our wonderful 2025 leavers.
There was much to celebrate: huge strides in communication, friendships, behaviour, reading and more were highlighted in the afternoon’s gathering. Each one of our learners leaves a little something in the Mill Water heart and hopefully takes a lot of happy memories with them.
Thank you to all the parents and carers of leavers, who have supported Mill Water over the years.
Performance at Phoenix Theatre
We are delighted at what a wonderful success the pupils’ performance of Around the World in 80 Days was. Working alongside the Paddle Boat Theatre Company, every student shone brightly on stage at the Phoenix Theatre. It was truly a joy to see such a strong turnout from our supportive audience.
All the pupils should feel incredibly proud of their participation and the dedication they showed during rehearsals and the performance. Their hard work truly paid off in a memorable and inspiring event for everyone to enjoy.
A Huge Thank You to Lisa and Tesco in Exmouth
We are incredibly grateful to Lisa and Tesco in Exmouth for their generous support throughout the year. Their donations have helped fund wonderful activities, including our exciting Science Week.
We’re also delighted to have been awarded £1,000 through Tesco’s Stronger Starts scheme, which will make a real difference to our school community.
Thank you for continuing to support us — your kindness truly makes an impact!
Bags 2 School
The clothes donations we received to donate to Bags 2 school made £44 overall. Thank you to everyone who donated!
