16th September 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

The Queen's Funeral

The school will be closed on Monday 19th September, the Bank Holiday for the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Here are some useful resources to help young people navigate their emotions, whether about the Queen’s death or about bereavement in general.

Thank You!

Our school is hugely grateful for the continued support it receives from our local community. Our bikes are currently being maintained by local East Budleigh volunteer Alan Murdoch. Alan has a wealth of bike repair experience and has been ensuring they are all in good working order. He has also coordinated the kind donation of two new bikes for pupils, from East Budleigh resident Rob Whithers and Ben Murdoch from Newton Poppleford. Thank you!

Staff and school supporters cheered on athletes at the weekend, as volunteer marshals for the annual Exmouth Triathlon. Race organiser LMevents paid each marshal £20 and a total of £300 was raised for Mill Water. In addition, East Budleigh Community Pub, the Sir Walter Raleigh, raised £600 for Mill Water during a pub quiz night. All money raised will pay for enrichment activities for pupils.
