Please can I remind you to update any changes to your child's data such as emergency contact numbers, email addresses and consent forms. It is vital we hold the correct information for you child.
We have a vacancy for parent governor - please put yourself forward if you are interested in the following:
Settling in After the Summer Holidays
All pupils in Class 12 have settled quickly. Of note they have been reading books from the new reading scheme, enjoying PE sessions at the Sport Barn, talking to their peers about what they like and learning about their new topic about 'Earth and Space'. They have also been developing their shopping skills. The pupils have been learning to find different foods in a supermarket by looking for signs and asking shop staff where the items are it, they were unable to find them. Some have used their maths skills by choosing the cheaper priced item too.
Nabeeha and Sona have settled in well to their new school. Learning routines and forming good relationships with the adults in class.
Class 9 have been enjoying the sunshine and keeping active this week with trips to the park, time on the bikes and the outdoor gym playground.
All pupils in Class 6 have settled back to school amazingly! We have had lots of fun so far developing our communication skills at the park, making sandwiches during cooking, learning about houses as well as numbers and patterns. Staff have loved getting to know all the pupils and we are looking forward to a great year ahead!
Walk Around Bicton
Class 5 settled well back into school. They enjoyed a walk around Bicton grounds; noting down everything that we saw on their checklists. They got extremely excited at seeing the donkeys, and some of them loved stroking the donkey's noses.

Introducing Activily
Activily is on a mission to reshape how parents/guardians engage with providers of out of school and school holiday activities, classes, clubs and more to benefit children with greater choice, inclusion, health and opportunity.
Founded by parents living in Exmouth, who have struggled to find reliable, accessible, and inclusive out-of-school activities for our children, they know there are many amazing local clubs and camps for children. But finding them is often a challenge without spending hours trawling social media, enquiring about availability, suitability etc.
Activily is an online platform to simplify the process. Making it easier to discover, book, and share local children’s out-of-school and school holiday activities. They’re committed to helping solve the childcare crisis and support local activity providers while creating new opportunities for growth.
More information can be found on the Activily website or you can sign up to their waiting list
