School Fun Day

21st May 2015

On Thursday 21st May parents and carers visited Mill Water School as part of the school’s first Open Day for pupils’ families. For some it was the first chance to see the school’s new site and facilities following its relocation in January from Honiton to a new multi-million pound building in the grounds of Bicton College. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and brothers and sisters were able to see the school in action, join in with classes, meet the fire service, see an exhibition of pupils’ art and handiwork and enjoy a Taekwando display by pupils who put on a great show after only a few weeks’ practice!

Newly appointed Headteacher Sarah Pickering said:
‘The day has been a great success and I am really pleased to see so many people here. I am proud of all we have achieved in the short time since we moved, and this day is a great way to celebrate and share those achievements. We now want to start looking outwards, to get involved with local organisations and businesses and show what a positive impact our pupils can have in the community’.
