Write Dance

Work 1:1 or 2:1 sat in front or behind pupil, whichever is easiest to move their arms.

Pupils to use pasta or sensory materials (flour, baby lotion etc.) in shallow tray or on work tray/table – pupil dependent.

Each song has a movement as below.  Do the movement at the pupils’ own pace hand under or over hand and model the movement – pupil dependent. 

Stop after a while and see if the pupil will carry on the movement to the music.  Try minimal verbal and physical prompts to encourage this.

Repeat until song finishes.
