Mill Water School is an all-age special school for pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties, including ASC. The school moved to a new, purpose built site in the grounds of Bicton College in January 2015. Our beautiful, rural surroundings provide unrivalled opportunities for outdoor learning.

From EYFS through to Post 16, our pupils access a bespoke learning and communication package to challenge their educational progress, working in partnership with multi-agency professionals and families.

Due to internal promotion we now have an exciting opportunity for a Grade D Teaching Assistant to join our class teams. You will have experience of working with pupils with SEND, together with a sound knowledge of how to support children’s learning and record achievement and progress.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to join our school. The successful candidate will need to be tolerant, understanding, show care and concern whilst being fair and consistent. They must be resilient and commited to improving outcomes for pupils and a good sense of humour is essential.

An ability to positively lead and direct a team of classroom assistants is essential in order to maximise pupil learning and contribute to an inspiring learning environment.

We are a member of the only special school teaching alliance in Devon so we are able to provide regular training to support your continued professional development.
