Year 11 and Sixth Form Leaver Destinations
From Year 10 onwards, all Mill Water students have a ‘Destination Profile’ which is reviewed and updated each September. This profile is tailored specifically to the needs and aspirations of the student, ensuring that future destinations are appropriate.
See below for details of post-Mill Water Leaver Destinations over the last 3 years.
When a student enters the school, an Individual Pathway Programme is devised and developed through each year as part of the Person Centred Review and EHCP process.
All students have individualised learning pathways enabling them to have the skills and knowledge needed to move successfully onto their next destination.
The EQUALS and BTEC curriculum in Key Stage 3 and 4 and the Personal Progress curriculum in the 6th form include units on Vocational Studies, Independent Work Skills, Skills for Supported Employment and Careers Education and Guidance.
In addition, Mill Water School works closely with Careers South West for all students from Year 9.
This outstanding programme of individualised pathways has resulted in none of our leavers over the last three years being regarded as NEETs (Not in Employment Education or Training).
