Exeter Exotics

14th October 2016

This week we were visited by Alyssia and some of her friends from Exeter Exotics. The visit was paid for by the PTFA and a third of the school signed up for the experience, which was held as part of our Friday enrichment activities.

The pupils had the chance to handle a range of exotic animals and learn interesting facts about them. They were able to handle a corn-snake and bearded dragon, and stroke a black and white Teague. We also looked at a Chilean Rose Tarantula and stroked a hedgehog, Lesser Tenrec and chameleon.

The highlight seemed to be stroking the beautiful skunk. It had thick, soft fur and did not smell at all!

Many thanks to the PTFA and Exeter Exotics.
