Class 4 have got off to a flying start in 2017.
We’ve been working hard on our targets through play and motivating activities. As usual communication is a big focus for us and we have fun developing our communication skills in all sorts of places!
Our topic this term has been ‘My Family and Friends’ so we’ve enjoyed looking at photos of our families and making books in literacy. Other highlights are our regular cooking sessions where we’ve been making toast and choosing toppings – and spreading them as independently as possible. We’ve also carried on working on our motor skills both indoors and outdoors.
We’ve really loved going out on the bus every Friday morning, where we’ve been learning social skills and communication skills in a different environment. We particularly like using our communication skills to buy cake!! The pupils have also had the opportunity to look at and buy some new resources for Sensology sessions too. All this has been thanks to our class donation from the PTFA.
Last week we took part in the Big Schools Birdwatch with a bird-spotting walk in the Orchard. We all managed to find birds in the trees (not necessarily real ones though!).
