In Class 1, we have been having so much fun developing our friendships and learning around the topic of families. We have enjoyed the family and friends based around the stories Peppa Pig and Stick Man.
Plenty of role play learning has been practised around food, babies, bedtimes and car washing. The children have sorted and counted characters and sticks, explored Ice and small world areas whilst building castles and stick houses and jumping in muddy puddles. Stick man and his family have been made using many materials and their fine motor skills are continuing to develop during Write Dance and our new Funky Fingers Friday group.
Unfortunately the donkeys have been poorly this term but the children have managed to get out and about lots to Woodbury Common, the park and bird spotting in our own orchard too.
The children and our team have thoroughly enjoyed this topic and we still haven’t finished squeezing the last few pips out of it!
